¡¡Weeee!
XDDDD

I also favor the human characters. I need to read the book again, having seen the films and see if I like it better. (I can see why people are enthralled, but I'm just not there. Middle Earth has more personality than most of the characters.)

As to Denethor, I like him very much as a character. He's one of the few that there's a view of from reading the book. He's not a nice man, but he was a great one who went mad. That's always interesting.

I like Grima as a character too. It's nice to see a flunky who isn't stupid. He's just chosen the wrong side and he realises that before the end, only he can't get out of it.

Legolas would be my favorite of the Elves, but I find them rather cold as a whole. Immortality does that, I guess.

I'm surprised you like Denethor. He is quite despised, IMHO. But I think like you, he was great, he was responsible, and pain broke him, at the end.

I don't like Denethor as a person, at least not as we see him by the time of the action in "Lord of the Rings". I like him as a character. He's interesting and complicated. I want to know more about who he was earlier in life and what it was (besides arrogance, maybe, or desperation) that made him look into the palantir and end up tricked by Sauron and mad.

I believe Fiundulas, Boromir and Faramir's mother, it's important. After all, she died of saddnes and left Denethor with two little children.

I suppose any*thing* having sex with Sawyer would be fine to my pervert mind…

Amen sister! And I love Sawyer/Jack as well, but everything with Sawyer is teh sex ;)

And you're absolutely correct about Kate. She started as a really interesting character, but she developed some really negative traits. At the end of the season she was really annoying.

Harry is really a difficult case. On the one hand he is the main character/hero, on the other hand are some other characters much better written which makes him mediocre in my eyes.

So there is Sawyer/Jack out there? I thought I was babbling about... But certainly they could be... ah, interesting. XD

And yes, I agree absolutely with you about Harry. Maybe because we can read his feelings and thoughts so well, he has not magic left for me... no mystery.

And don't forget HOT *g*

Harry is sometimes really predictable (or capslock-damaged). That's why I like stories with adult!fanon!Harry (and well written).

And those are the only Snarry mildly believable for me.
