I should have been working, but oh well... I got bored and an image conjured up in my mind... And that is strange, because due to all my work-related stress, I haven't thought of HP or Snape in a (little) while... Anyway, here is it. A sad picture for a very sad moment of Deathly Hallows.

That's beautiful - I love the window panes behind him, and his expression and figure. He kind of looks like he's touching that sword as though it's his one point of contact with something outside. As usual, I am astounded that you did all this with your *mouse*.

thanks! well, when I drew this, I had in my mind the moment Snape is going to give Harry the sword. So its his only contact with his true side... you are right.

And I suppose I'm very experienced drawing with a mouse, second nature by now ;)

Oh, well done. I love how you have the background out of focus like that, and Snape's expression is so, well, lonely. Nicely done.

thanks! I think that snape was so deep in his role that last year, that everything but his task was out of focus... Its so very sad, poor man.

You're right, he was so lonely, with all this undercover job. What saddened me the most was that never was happy, maybe a bit in his younger years.

Beautiful picture capturing all those feelings.

yes, you are right... he never had a chance to true happiness. Only a few moments of friendship with Lily... it's so sad!

awesome pic and very accurate description. Poor Sev. Let's hug him and make him happy :-)

yes! At least now, we fanartist/writes can give him some love. Merlin knows he had nothing of that in his life...

I like the sorrowful aura that surrounds Snape. The light of the window gives wonderful contrast to his dark figure.
And you draw this with a mouse? Amazing!

thanks! Yes, for me snape's life was completely bleak that last year. Your picture about him receiving orders from Dumbledore struck me hard, because he had only those portraits, albus and phineas, to keep him company. And one of them was giving him orders... still not disclosing his motives to him.

That is why I drew him with his hand over the sword, because he doens't know how it can help harry, and yet, Albus -his only "friend" left- *wont* tell him. How alone he must have felt!
