Umm, this is a random guess, but look at your CPU where the slot is for putting in CDs and see if there's a sticker saying "DVD"? Mine doesn't have one though so maybe yours doesn't. Or you could go to "start" at the bottom left hand part of the screen and go to "find" and type in "DVD".... hope that helps!
so maybe this is too late to help, but just in case, here's my tip.
If you click on "my computer" (it might be on your desktop, or maybe you have to click on "Start" and then move the mouse over to "my computer"), it will list all of the drives you have on your computer. You will probably see "3 1/2 floppy (A:)" and "Local Drive (C:)". If you have a DVD player it will also say "DVD Drive (D:)" or something like that. If you only have a CD drive, it won't work. It has to be a DVD drive to work.
hmm indeed. I'm guessing you don't have a dvd drive, unless for some reason you have a music CD in it and that is why it says "audio cd". Try taking out any CDs in any drives and looking again. With any luck, it would say DVD drive when it's empty. *crossing fingers for you*
hmm. yeah, when I took out the cd it changed. but I put the dvd in, and it won't play. I'm downloading this dvd decoder thing, though. hopefully that will work. :) thanks so much for the help though!
