wow, bethany hamilton is sure getting a shitload of press over this whole shark attack thing. they're making a MOVIE out of it?? crazy. she was on maui last week for a contest at hookipa, I didn't go but elise was telling me she was shredding. that she still always makes it to finals, arm or no arm. I think it's so awesome

They're making a movie about it? I remember awhile back I heard about that girl on the news. That sounds really scary, I don't know what I'd do if that happened to me - I know I'd never be able to surf again, I'd be wayyy too scared. I'm more scared of sharks than practically anything, haha.

yeah, but usually surfers are like, ADDICTED to surfing, kind of like how me and you have a passion for music, that's what it's like for them. lol whenever they're NOT surfing they're whining about wanting to go surf. so I guess she just had to start surfing again, even without the arm.

shark attacks are really rare anyway.
