I don't know if any of you have ever read Demian by Herman Hesse... but if you have you understand the feeling I have right now. There's this feeling that comes with being completely absorbed in a story, not only because it's exciting and has assasins in it, but because it actually means something. Demian makes me question everything. I feel like

in TOK we always talk about authors that one reads as a "right of passage". Hesse is one of them. :] i have yet to read him (as i'm currently tackling tolstoy) but i hope to read Demian this summer.
