I knew this family when I was really little, and they were real bible-thumpers.
So anyway, one day the little girl who was about my age and I were reading a book about dinosaurs, and I asked a typical little kid question, "I wonder who named all the dinosaurs". She looked at me like I was dumb and went "Well Jesus did".
Which is probably why religious people creep me out to this day.
I know. They don't challenge any ideas because it's been driven into their heads since they were born that what the Bible says goes, and if you challenge anything then you go to hell.
Unless that person is a "born again christian", and holy hell don't get me started on that.
haha yeah my mom always tells me whenever I mention dinosaurs that there was never any. She said scientist can make bones look like anything they want...I always shake me head in astonishment...the things the pastor at my church can get people to believe while i sit there and doodle or nap lol
haha like i said in the comment above this, i love how they try to alter their beliefs and make stuff up to defend what they believe in that makes 0 sense at all.
hahah once i saw this funny interview and this guy was like "my neighboor doesn't like the smell of the bull i sacraficed before dinner, should i stone him like *insert bible verse here* says to do?"
the bible has been changed so much within the past years i dont understand how anyone could follow it still.
*waves arms* It's like this: Adam and Eve are abstract. Most of the Old Testament is abstract. For all we know, we evolved from monkeys. The difference between the scientific explanation and the Christian explanation is that we Christians believe that it happened because God wanted it to happen, meanwhile the scientists think that the monkeys got bored and possibly mated with one weird-ass defective monkey. (Naw, that's my own theory. xD) So, um.. there's plenty of room for dinosaurs. =x
