tis a really random thing, but I was reading a article/interview with Keith Urban and this line, it really stuck out to me.

And I know this doesn't just happen with country, I'm sure it happens with all kinds of music, but as I'm familiar with country and the sometimes hostility towards it, that's what I'm going to rant about.

People are lame, then again I can say I "hate" certain genres... meh.

This reminded me of my music appreciation instructor from last spring. He was like "I like all music... except country." And it turned out a lot of our class favorite genre was Country and we all went "Uggggh" and he was like "Just too much twang for me. But the songs themselves, they tell excellent stories!" LOL...

i agree. i used to listen to country (although now i literally only listen to the beatles because i always compare everything else to the beatles and nothing comes close) and people were like, "OMGZ DO YOU PLAY THE BANJO?"

isn't it sad? xD I haven't gotten that response, but I get a lot of looks about it when I say I love it. :\
