23!

Oct 16, 2005 02:02

Your eyes do not deceive you! I'm a little rusty (it took me a few minutes to find the update journal link) but entries are on the cards again. If the next two weeks go to plan, I'll be around a lot more too. Now that I've well and truly made a name for myself as the most frustratingly sporadic LJer known to LJ-kind this year, I must thank you all ( Read more... )

Welcome back, Kat! It's nice to see a new entry from you.

23, hey? That's nothing! I wish I was still 23! Happy belated birthday, btw.

Happy birthday to John-boy too. Well, it's tomorrow for me but today for Aussie's right?

Thanks for welcome back, Trace! It's been a long time coming, this entry. :D

You're right. I'd hardly consider you to be over the hill, so I'm sure I'll come to embrace the rest of my 20s with the same attitude. ;) Thanks for the birthday wishes! :) Right you are, John's birthday ticked over last night by Aussie time. But officially, it was tomorrow in the US/UK. :D You guys are the same age too, right? It goes to show that all the cool people are in their 20s. ;D

Ah, yes, I think John and I are the same age. He was born in 1977 too. All the cool people are 28, right?

It would be John's birthday now - in my time zone - I hope he's having a great day.

Don't wait so long to post again, Kat.

I'd say you're right - 28 is a good sounding age. ;D It probably sounds more appealing than 23 to me right now 'cause I'm at crossroads with uni, an impending career and all that. Once I'm stabilised (ha, I make it sound like a medical emergency!), I should enjoy my 20s a lot more. :D

I noticed a few b'day posts on John's communities just now. Glad to hear it! I hope he's enjoying himself too. He definitely deserves some time out, so I hope he gets it. :)

You can count on it! Two weeks from now, you'll be sick of seeing me; here and on FF. ;P Great catching up! I'm glad you enjoyed your James Blunt show the other night too! I can't wait for a chance to check him out live. He was over here for a promo trip last month and from what I saw, I was most impressed.

I'm glad you had the chance to celebrate, sounds like Friday was great fun.

I love all the jewellery in the pictures, and you look great. I love the outfit you wore on Thursday night!

Looking forward to you spamming my friends' page when your thesis is done!

Thanks Kat! I intended to keep things low key this year, but I'm pleased I took the time out to do something fun. It was just what I needed! :D

Thanks. That makes two of us! :P I get hugely excited about new jewellery, as you can tell. You're sweet for complimenting on my outfit too. The top was originally bought for my second Delta concert. It's been getting plenty of wear since. :D

Glad you're okay with that! You'll be seeing a lot more of me next month if all goes to plan. ;D I know exactly what you were going through a few months back and have the utmost admiration for your efforts. Your success has made me a whole lot more hopeful that I'll live to make it through.

Kat! *hugs* I love your outfit! Glad you had such a good time! I'm on dialup at the moment so I can only see the first three pictures *kicks it* but the earrings in the third photo are gorgeous!

I'm sucker for any alcoholic beverage that doesn't taste alcoholic. ;)

Kat, you're my hero! I thought I was the only person like that, haa! My friends always laugh at me for wanting to drink the stuff that tastes like juice!

Thaaanks Rach! *hugs back* It's probably a good thing you only saw the first few pics 'cause they only get sillier as they go along. Hehee. :P Glad you like the earrings too. I <3 them so much. I can't wait to wear them on my next night out. :D

Here I was thinking I was on my lonesome there too! LMAO. the number of times I've copped flack for ordering "lolly water"... The juice based cocktails are the greatest IMO. Seasoned drinkers like to think they have good taste, but what do they know? Straight spirits burn a hole in your throat and beer tastes like smelly feet. That's a fact! *nod*

Thanks for the welcome back and birthday wishes! :D
I appeciate the reassurance. I was just discussing that with my friend, Trace (above) and came to the conclusion that 28 is one of the coolest ages 'cause you're past all the worries that comes with graduating and finding a career, and still young enough to enjoy what life brings. You're a sassy young mum, so I don't see you heading downhill. I'm sure turning 27 will agree with you. :)

I did have a lot of fun! Possibly too much. LOL! Thanks for stopping by, Kim. Hope all's going well for you. :D

HAAAAAAAAPPY BIIIIIIIRTHDAY KAT! *hugs* Sorry I haven't been able to get in touch with you and stuff. Uni sure is busy. And from your post, I can tell it is for you too. :D

Woah. The necklace is soo pretty! It looks blue in the first pic and greenish in the second. Hee.

Thanks Yueni! *hugs back* No worries, I appreciate that you took the time to stop by. I know exactly how hectic things get at this point in the year. Best of luck with your final assessments/exams! :)

Thankyou! I love it too. <333 The blue from my top must have reflected in the first one. I've no idea how to explain the green in the second though. LOL!
