Honshou Chizuru Who is the best lesbian ever? Why, Chizuru, of course! Ari adores Chizuru and her wacky groping antics. Seriously though, he looks up to her and finds her to be a rare dispenser of common sense who doesn't bury him in rar rar believe in yourself and have confidence stuff. Believe it or not, she's on of his first choices when he needs advice.
Ishida Uryuu ...oh, idiot big brother Uryuu. Uryuu is a constant source of miscommunication, misunderstanding, and creepy Evil Archer glares. Despite this, Ari adores him. He may not like it, but he fully understands that Ishida would lay his life on the line for him. You can't NOT appreiate that. Ishida is also very similar to Ari in terms of the way they see themselves, wanting to be useful to others and actually make a difference. So Ari understands where he comes from, even if he hates the way he deals with it.
Yamada Hanatarou Nice person, although Ari has yet to get him. They try really hard to be nice, but are always falling all over themselves. Also a bit of an idiot, but that seems to come from ignorance rather than flat out stupidity.

Buffy Summers Buffy is great for a number of reasons. While she doesn't support emo, she never comes down too hard on Ari for having it terminally. She also is a wonderful source of both hugs and friendly banter. Ari's general company doesn't do so well with the banter, so when Ari can do so with Buffy, he has a lot of fun. She's also Kon's girl and Imp's big sister, as far as Ari is concerned.

Bart Allen/Impulse IMMMPPPP! Ari adores Imp and trusts him immensely. He doesn't always get what Imp is talking about, and he doesn't want to sometimes. But in a way, even that is endearing. Imp was one of Ari's first friends in camp and the first person to call him a best friend. Imp is someone he'd run to save if need be, especially since he knows Imp wouldn't hesitate to do the same. It may not be able to be shown via LJ, but I see them as being together a lot, playing video games and reading comic books. Bart is a person who Ari is completely at ease with, and never worries about being a bother to--something rare for Ari.

Kon-El/Superboy Finds Kon to be extremely cool and nice, especially after giving him a flight around camp despite the fact that he's not an adorable lil' kid. Kon is pretty much Imp's big brother to Ari, and thinks of him as such. He's just a good guy who can be counted on. He may get shy around Kon sometimes, not wanting to be a bother, but generally likes being around him.

Mello The psychopath Ari can count on NOT to dismember him! Yay! Ari loves to talk to psychopaths, and this is the only one he can chat with without utter fear. Generally he just pokes fun at Mello and Near's odd relationship, but they also talk about Chisame a bit. Ari cares about Chisame and is glad to see Mello on her side--he knows Mello would protect her. What he doesn't realize is that when Mello hints at protecting Ari as well, that Mello already did once in the form of killing Nishi via Death Note.
Near He's TOO mean to Ishida. What a brat. But at least he makes Mello happy. Ari doesn't like to talk to Near, though.

Alphonse Elric AL~~. Al is one of Ari's best friends. Ari, Al, and Ash make up the beloved "A Team." Ari can have a lot of fun with Al, but often feels like he's a bother to him. The problem basically is that he sees Al as someone who is way better than him. Al doesn't always help his case, by insisting that he needs no protection or help from Ari. To say their friendship is complicated would be an understatement. Ari currently wants to prove so very badly that he can handle himself, but still can't manage to. Al is pretty much a brother to Ari, and Ari wants some kind of respect from him that he feels he isn't getting. Despite all of Ari's issues with that though, he loves Al to bits in a platonic brotherly way, and would do almost anything for him. They can also be found plotting against Ishida quite a bit, as they are both under Uryuu's insane brotherly protection.
Edward Elric Ari likes Ed a lot, but tries not to get in his way. Ed is a nice guy and will look out for Ari when the need be, but also lets Ari handle himself--something Ari actually appreciates a lot. Ed's love often comes in the form of a smack upside the head when Ari is being emo, which he likes a lot more than rah rah speeches. Ari will ocassionally stand up for Ed when people who aren't named Russel make fun of his height. Ari also increases Ed's self esteem by the mere fact that he's shorter than Ed despite being around the same age.
Envy AkCpbtTt. Ari liked Envy despite Al's warnings UNTIL ENVY TURNED INTO AL DAMNIT. Envy is now extremely disliked. That bastard.
Fletcher Tringham Russel's lil' bro. Nice enough kid. Ari tries to look out for him, but sometimes Fletcher just drives him craazzyyy.
Russel Tringham Idiot brother! Ari adores Russel. He's snarky as hell, not afraid to pick a fight, and has suspenders. How cool is that? Initially, Russel was actually mean to Ari, but after finding out about Stan, Russel became nicer. Since then, they look out for each other--although Ari often ends up helping Russel more than Russel helps Ari. But Russel has been there for Ari in times when he needed someone, and is also someone Ari can talk to about pretty much anything without being too ashamed. Also held numerous Snarky Bitch Days in Russel's honor.
Winry Rockbell She is SO HOT. Ari has a tiny crush on Winry, he's not afraid to admit it. She's also super nice and makes pie. When he got sick from Riddle's curse, she comforted him after a certain someone told him he'd die. Between that and talks about his difficulties with Al, Winry won a nice fuzzy place in Ari's heart.

But due to the shouta incident, he also knows that under it all, Nishi is actually a lot like him. Both are cynical and sarcasti, often seeing the stupidity of others around them quite clearly. Neither sees the world as a kind or fair place. There's a weird fascination with Nishi that leads him to continue to interact with him, despite the bad results. Ash is Ari's sparring partner, best friend and... Did I mention he's like a stupid puppy? He is.
