Title: Hero, Midnight Water, Eternity
Author: Airiechan
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts [I, II]
Pairing/Threesome: Leon x Sora
Theme(s): #47 Hero, #69 Reflect, #93. time
Rating: pg-13 [To be safe.]
Summary:

Hero: Sora wonders if he had to save the world, who is going to save him.

Midnight water: Sora sits in a cave and thinks about things. Most of my stories are one-sided no matter how many of you want to see some sexual stuff between them: P Maybe I’ll do a special sometime, but until then, I write MY WAY.

Eternity: There’s a light at the end of every hallway, and it is the light to freedom.

Often times Sora had wondered why he had to be the one who saved the world. Then he’d start going into the whole, “If I have to save the world, then who is going to save me?” thing…it was pretty awkward. Sora always thought about that, but he didn’t really care anymore anyway. He had saved the world nothing more to it right?

Often times Sora did wish he had a hero…a strong male figure. Now, he thought it was kind of weird too at first, but he accepted himself for who he was and what he wanted.

When he had first entered Transverse town, he knew who it was going to be. He had met a tall man there with a huge sword…he seemed so nonchalant, but Sora knew on the inside he was torn apart. Sora knew that if he could save him, maybe the other man would save Sora in return.

Though often times he just forgot it, every time he lost, every time he bled…he had no hero. Though when he came to Donald and Goofy seemed to be hiding something from him, a secret he didn’t know. He always wondered what it was, but they’d never tell him.

Soon though, Sora discovered their secret. As we was fighting Maleficent, she knocked him clear across the room and as his consciousness was wavering in and out, he could see her approaching him. Donald and Goofy weren’t strong enough to hold her off. He was going to die there.

Then from clear across the room, he came rushing in, slaying the dragon much to Goofy and Donald’s dismay. He could remember them scolding him for ‘interfering in the king’s business.’ Leon had only glared at them and replied, “He would have died.” Then Donald replied, “Since when have you ever cared?” Leon seemed a bit taken aback at that statement but all he did was “Humph” and walk off.

I smiled at the last moment I had awake before he reached me.

I had a hero

Yaaaay for corniness :P

The whole world seemed like midnight with no one there to love him. He had often wished…no he never wished, wishes meant nothing to him anymore, not at this ‘hour’. His entire life seemed black now, black as night. He laughed a little to himself at his earlier comments; he was starting to sound a little like Ansem with how many times he mentioned darkness. Maybe Ansem had lost someone close to him, maybe that’s why his heart was so weak, why he turned to evil…Sora suddenly felt regret he had never felt before.

Since the final battle had been won, he had been sulking. He sighed and spread himself out on the stone floor beneath him. He stared into the dark water. He could see his reflection and he hated it. He clenched his fists and studied his face. There were tear stains and smudges of things unknown. He had gotten thinner because he hadn’t wanted to eat.

What had he become...?

For a brief moment as he stared at his reflection he could’ve sworn he saw Leon’s face. Sora slapped the water and turned away, disgusted with his mind for changing the reflection in the water to something he couldn’t handle.

Is this what I have become? Sora wondered, A reflection of my former self?

Boring and short…but it’s all I could think of.

Together they ran down the corridor. It was the first time they had actually been together in a long time and Sora had to pinch himself for fear that this might be a dream. Leon took his hand and sped up. Sora was starting to get tired, but he knew he had to keep up.

What were they running from though? They were running from time itself. They had hoped that if they could run far enough they wouldn’t have to face time; they wouldn’t have to face being torn apart or dying. If they could escape time, they could enter eternity, but even eternity had time even if it never ended.

“I see it,” Leon whispered to Sora. Sora looked straight ahead and sure enough at the end of the hall there was a bright light, the light to freedom.

Sometimes it seemed like they would’ve never reached it, but now they were there. Leon’s hand came out of Sora’s as the two came to a halt.

Sora stared into Leon’s eyes. Surprisingly they were glittering with emotion. A smile graced Sora’s lips and Leon took both of his hands and lowered his lips to Sora’s. Both of their hearts soared.

It felt so good neither wanted it to end, but time was not on their side. Leon pulled back and cupped Sora’s face.

“Now,” he whispered, pulling Sora into his arms, “this is where we say good-bye.” Sora gasped.

“What! N-” Leon placed a finger to Sora’s lips.

“Hush,” Leon whispered, holding his hand out in front of Sora’s face, “Time is against us, I’m already starting to fade, you have a long time left to live.”

Sora choked back tears and Leon pressed his lips to his one last time. Then Leon turned his back to Sora, walking into eternity.

This is kind of a prequel to the death one I wrote ^___^;;;, but it’s weird…because it’s not really…awful isn’t it?
