Remus stood transfixed starring through the shadows he was shrouded in. The girl was simply gathering her brown locks up into a bun while she gazed out of a window onto the moonlit grounds. Her slight movements caused her robes to ripple in response.
Behind the man stood another...the potions master, a few strides behind him in the darkened corridor. Hermione did not know either man was watching her intently. Snape could smell the stench of Lupins’ longing desire as it permeated the hall.
Severus did not want to acknowledge what the stinging churning sensation in his gut was.
