I am tired of being considered as a stereotypical American who's responsible for all of America's actions. I am only 1 of 260,000,000. I have no national pride and am not responsible for any nation or individual, aside from myself. how long have you been here and how do you like it, apart from some sweeping generalisations about your nationality?

I've been here for almost five months and I've enjoyed my time very much.

My girlfriend lives here and she's the reason why I came.

I don't want to be anywhere else.

Stereo types suck.. I agree big time on that. You see it more in matters of religion, which is what I know too well. I oft feel crucified because of my beliefs. I guess all a person can really do is go on living and not care about the stereotype.. If that doesn't work for you, convert as many as you can, as slowly as you can. It's not that hard of a concept. All it takes is common sense and rational thinking to see the truth.

I don't consider myself of any nationality. I am a child of the world.

I know what you mean. I was born in Canada but moved to the US at a young age and I don't feel like American or Canadian soil is my true mother land. I have been known to say that I feel like I have no country. It feels like you're off in a universe all your own. Makes for good creative writing, eh?

i do love this entry, and of course you're very right. war against a country, racism, homophobia etc.. are.. in a sense..purely based on these stereotypes.
