Fuck FAFSA. It's dumb that since I'm not a homeless "youth", a foster kid, my parents died... blah blah blah I probably wont be able to get finacial aid. Why can't someone that just wants to support themselves without a parents help get a goddamn grant?! I guess a parent legally has to pay for college? STUPID ( Read more... )

FAFSA CAN SUCK A MAJOR DICK! Unless I want to reduce my parents to living in a cardboard box (which isn't far off tbh), I NEED MONEY. Cassie said that even Ivy Miller didn't get aid, and her parents basically don't make any money at all.

I feel your frustration, man. Although can't you declare yourself independent from your parents and get aid? That's what people do for grad school..

Yeah, it's outrageous! And I was reading some of the FAQs and they stated it didn't matter if you were independent or not and didn't recieve any money from your parents, that they were still responsible. Ridiculous.

Amen.
OU's tuition just went up 8%, and then the president of the university got a 40% pay increase.
My parents pay for my college, and we still had to take out a loan.
The Michigan Promise scholarship ran out of money.
Oh, and today was our first day of classes and the teachers are on strike.

Basically, Michigan and the United States do not want us to have an education. They'd prefer the entire country remain poor and uneducated.

Ouch, I would be so angry if I found that out!

It's kind of scary that the government doesn't care more about our educations. Whether it's K through 12 or secondary schooling, they just don't care at all.
