Baked rice - 1) Cook rice. 2) Anything else you want to put into rice. (Like meat.) 3) Cover with cheese. Liberally. The squares kind works. 4) I think you can add a bit of milk too... 5) Put into oven. Bake. (This part, it depends on what type of oven you're using.)
Caesar salad (according to wiki) 1) Romaine lettuce! 2) Croutons 3) Sliced hard-boiled eggs 4) Lemon juice 5) Olive oil 6) Worcestershire sauce (oohh, so that's what makes it bite.) 7) Fresh-ground black pepper (never seen this though.) 8) Parmesan cheese.
Dump 1-3 into bowl. Mix in 4-7. Toss. Top with 8.
Alternatively you can come over with food and I'll cook for you! (If I can cook it, that is. -.-)
re: Qian's rice thing - half-cooked rice will be fine, because you'll be baking it so it'll cook more thoroughly while baking! :D
Yup, I don't mind! Worcestershire is sauce; my sis found it at the supermarket yesterday and it appears to be steak sauce - but I think you just use a little for flavour. It's dark brown. ._.
But if I'm going to be making salad frequently I'll buy and bring the bottle! :D
Rice: - Half-cooked rice also works. - Risotto cheese > all - Milk tends to make it go soggy - Salmon is fantastic with rice, but eh... also salty
Salmon: - Salmon is good for baking/grilling. If you decide, for some weird reason, to fry salmon, slice thinly. - Salmon contains lots of oil. I'd rather cod. - Bake with butter, depending on size. Also, use herbs if you think it's too plain. - Salmon should be about 3/4s cooked. Or it gets too hard and not chewy. - If slicing sashimi, slice horizontally, not vertically. It's easier to keep level.
Alternatively, you can bake chicken with croutons and mushroom soup. It tastes good. Well. The sauce does, anyway.
healthy snacks - trail mix. *nods* nuts and dried fruit and raisins and whatever else you want (m&ms are good) in big container; shake. yoghurt and fruit good too.
