I have a really terrible headache that is slowly going away thanks to Excedrine. It is probably from my sinuses but Excedrine seems to work anyway. I need to go to the ENT but have been putting it aside..I really hope I am not getting yet another sinus infection because they fucking suck ( Read more... )

On eof the main reasons I'm applying for an MSW program is because they don't require GRE's. I seriously want nothing to do with that test. But good for you for not cowering in fear from it, just because of anxiety. You're so friggin' smart. Did you do badly on your SAT's or something? I can't imagine you doing badly on your GRE's, even if you experience anxiety.

When I take tests like that, I pretty much say to myself "Fuckit, I'll get what I get and live with it. DONE." And then I walk out when I'm done and don't think about it. It's honestly not going to determine your fate. And, if you wanted to, you could take it over and forus on a certain section you had a problem with and combine the scores from both test. But honestly, don't go nuts about it. It's not worth it.

By the by, what kind of program are you applying to for grad school?

Thanks for the advice :)....well, I honestly would love to get my doctorate in psychology and be a researcher...but that would require a significant amount of time/money/commitment etc. then I realistically have at this point in my life...maybe one day. Right now, I've been researching master's programs in public health (biostatistics, etc.) because I have also have a strong interest in statistics as well and was actually a huge part of what attracted me to psychology in the first place. I know whatever program I end up completing will most likely require the GRE's so I am sort of just preparing myself early.

You are right...it totally isn't worth going nuts over..I mean I do pretty well on the practice exams...well enough to at least get me into a master's program..which is my current goal anyway.

Take care and happy 9 months! :)
