i popped an eardrum earlier this year and my ear wouldn't stop ringing for weeks! i hope the same does not happen to you (probably won't, because i assume you still have both eardrums intact).

ooh, i was doing that for a while. i had to, like, ween myself off the volume. it was a struggle, but it's much better now.
