Well, I recently went and picked up my reserved copy of the extended LOTR DVD. Of course, I'm still in agreement that the way AOL/Time Warner hornswagled the fans/consumers by not advertising this more rounded version until the first DVD release sucks big donkey balls. However, I'm not sorry I got it. Of extended and/or new scenes intertwined

I know what you mean. I read the entire Xanth series (25 novels altogether right now) about 8 times since I was about 10. Yeah...good books are so easy to come back to. =)
