it's because i'm flying on the 23rd. the ticket price on the 23rd alone is $299, then the ticket back on the 30th is $139, plus taxes and whatnot. if i flew the day before (which i can't) it would be $100 cheaper, and the day before that is $150 cheaper, and so on.
