i can totally relate with what your saying el, because many a time i feel the same way. a lot of things were a LOT easier back then. i don't remember having to think everything through...fun could be as simple as rediscovering an old toy or playing outside.
yeah, life is complex, distressing, complicated - alhtough this is a rather simplistic way of saying it - try not to let it get to you, though. With it's great complexity, it could tear you to pieces if you let it. Sometimes i forget this myself, but we gotta take each day one at a time, moment by moment.

"why think so hard
when it's so soothing
dancing through life?"
-wicked.

when my cousin told her mom that she missed the way things used to be, my aunt told her to try to figure out what she missed so much, and bring it back alive. make it live in the present, whatever it was.

ok, love you, i'll talk to you tomorrow. =]

hey el.. i know i already commented on this.. but.. today.. i was thinking.. and it just hit me.. how you feel.

i couldn't understand it before, but i completely get it now.

i wasn't even thinking about you. i was thinking about something totally different. something that i never would have had to think about, worry about, or dream about in the past. and then it hit me. oh my god, this is what ellen meant.
