Florence is amazing, but Rome is overrated. If it was me, I would spend one day in Rome and two in Venice - or skip Rome entirely. It's dirty and gross and while yes, the coliseum is really cool to see, the entirety of Venice is cool to see. There's not another city like it in the world - I love it so much. If you by chance do end up going there, let me know and I'll give you a list of must-sees. =)

everyone keeps telling me that. the people i'm going to meet up with refuse to believe me when i warn them about rome, so i think i'll just meet up with them a day late... i love roman history, but honestly, all i want to see is the vatican and the coliseum. i think i might do venice after all -- i'll definitely hit you up once i decide!
