oh man. i just got back from the midnight showing of "serenity." it was...whoa. fucking amazing. i'm so impressed. it was a perfect film. :beams: yay! i was so scared it would let me down. but, nope, it blew me away

*gasp* how sad for you that you don't know what i'm talking about! it's the movie based on joss whedon's genius show "firefly"--he's the guy that gave us "buffy" and "angel", two shows i've never seen...not really my style. but! "serenity", man, you really have to LOVE a western set in space. my older sister files it with all my other "ubernerd" enjoyables--like "star wars" and "lord of the rings"...

So glad you loved it cos so did I and there weren't that many people who were in the theatre! I dragged my daughter and son along and they loved it too. We've been big firefly fans for yonks so I've been hanging out to see the movie and it so did not disappoint. I was so excited I even taped the reviews on the movie shows! (pathetic I know!) I may yet go back and see it again before it closes, now I can't wait to get the DVD! Joss still Rocks! I'll have to send Kirsty a copy of my DVDs of the series, she needs indoctrination! er education! lol

It's been getting RAVE reviews. I think that's partly because not a lot of people --especially critics-- are familiar with the show. So, they don't EXPECT it to be any good. I mean, come on, a western SCI-FI? Doomed for failure, right? So when these critics are actually pleased with it--excited, entertained-- they're like "Whoa! Must rave!" So, hopefully it'll do fairly well. It's just that Fox treated the show like shit and didn't give it the respect it deserved, thus they're just aren't that many fans. Not on the same scale as say "Buffy." Haha, I bet most Firefly fans ARE Buffy fans. I've never seen Buffy, because well, it's BUFFY. But! Firefly is fabulous so I don't doubt the greatness of his other work.

I took a friend who's never seen Firefly before to the midnight showing and the next day, she took a few of her friends who've never seen Firefly to Serenity. Word of mouth, yo. Yay!

oh. ha. yeah, bjfic is really hard for me to post at cuz it puts strange symbols and shit in my stories and is a basic pain in the ass. i'll friend you back. you can check out my memories, i put my stuff in there. i haven't written in a while, though. i have this one story, "born again", that i started, but haven't finished.

I have lots of stories that I've started and never finished. So you're not alone. Usually I get stuck in the middle. Stupid middle. The end is find, the beginning is fine, but not so much the middle.
