cutting down first really helps. My mom smoked for 38 years, she cut down first and then quit on 50th birthday! you can do it!!!!!

yeah, that must be HARD. I would imagine quitting in California is easier than in other states.

I'd be pissed if i worked in an office where people were aloud to smoke...

the eating is partly due to being so used to having something in/around your mouth. Try chewing on straws, or chewing gum.

I have pictures of my stepmom when she was having chemo for lung cancer last year. And getting her head shaved because her hair was falling out. I can show you those for motivation if you need it ;)

My dad says he loves you and is rooting for you. Hahah. I know you don't know him, but i told him "I'm talking to a girl who is trying to quit smoking" and he said to tell you that...

Wanted to share info on a cool website for quitters called www.committedquitters.com that I’m finding really useful. It provides support that’s tailored to your individual needs. When I signed up, it asked me tons of questions about my smoking habits (annoying at first - but there’s a reason for it) then it gave me a personalized quit strategy that’s really helping me through times when I’m tempted to smoke. I found out about it when I bought some patches but since I signed up, it’s being offered it free. I really encourage anyone thinking of quitting to sign up…..it’s a really cool tool! Good luck!

Jared gave up after only two days. He let everything that bothered him get to him more than ever. I can understand that it's stress on top of the stress of quitting, but even shit that was just normal, every day, whatever bullshit... he was just wigging out.

Just stay calm. If you think you're insane, then tell yourself to quit acting like a bitch. (not that I'm calling you a bitch):-D
