I've been horseback riding for most of my life, yet I think they are one of my least photographed subjects. Strange.
I went up to my friends barn, borrowed a horse and we went on a road hack. (Hack being the equivalent of a trail ride only this was on... the road.) It was fun, but I was upset I couldn't get any more photos - literally 30 seconds after I took that top photo, we were caught in a torrential downpour. My thoughts shifted from "I wanna get photos of horses running" to "Shit how do I get out of this without getting back to the barn with $2000 worth of useless plastic and glass?" Thankfully, my messenger bag is canvas and kinda waterproof. Kinda.
