At knitting club, the issue was raised that Carolyn, from the newest version of knitty, is awesome aside from too many buttons and the cropped problem.

However, upon closer inspection of the pattern, I do believe that the cardigan is actually NOT cropped, but that the designer (also the model) is long waisted to the point of scary.  For example, the

It looks like she also wears her pants very low. Also also, holy crap that is too many buttons. o_O
