So I just found out that when my grandmother was in high school, she and two other boys in her class signed up for a scholarship. They each had to take a test. And my grandmother ended up getting the scholarship. One of the two boys who had tried for it is now the president of Merck, Roy Vagelos.  And I find that VERY funny.
