Yeah and then you post the link for it into the thread in the community for that particular challenge. Participants then read that thread and click on the links to read what people posted. That way everyone just follows the community's posts instead of following every single person participating. Make sense?
not really. why not just grant everyone posting access to the community? and considering the filters lj has set up now, you can actually view your friends page without viewing that community, or viewing just that community, etc.
It's kinda 6 one, half a dozen another. I'm not sure why they set it up the way they did (though it's been going on for a few years at this point) but the way I see it I'm participating in the community to get myself writing more and to make new friends, but my writing is still for myself and I'd want it to be in my own journal anyway. This introduction post is weird for all of my old friends to read, but the future prompts are just writing prompts like any other meme, etc. that I would write about here.
Nice to meet you too. :) I look forward to reading more of yours as well, this just FELT bouncy. Can't exactly say I'm not new to writing...I just got into it over the past year after hating it for most of my life. So we'll see. ;)
*grins* Always. I'm rather addicted to challenges...and this is rather a-typical for the masochistic self-laid ones. It should be interesting, at the very least.t
I friended you cause your entries make me smile. I love hot dog doggies. They are awesome. Except for my mother's dogs, cause they are badly mannered. =) But I love them anyways.
