Cabin Fever

 Holidays are supposed to be relaxing and wonderful.  And I'm sure they could be, even I didn't get such insanely bad cabin fever so incredibly quickly!  If school started on Monday I would be totally ready for it.  I have such a hard time staying "sane" when I have nothing to do

Funny, when I saw that I immediately thought of what you'd say. I think the difficulty has to do with the privileged gaze of the newspaper reader, who's assumed to be non-Aboriginal and non- homeless. It wasn't "homeless people are people too, here's what some of their experiences were like", it was more like "hey white middle-class person, check out these strange-looking homeless people, you can enjoy the spectacle of peeking into their lives from a safe distance".
