  So, I said I would never use this journal again, and that is true, for the most part. I'm just popping up for a quick update and then a question. So first the question:

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the full-text version of a livejournal from the website? That may be a paying feature, which would kinda suck, but since I am no longer ( Read more... )

Awesome. Yeah, that sounds like a bit of a pain, (I've got like 4 years on this journal and 2 on other ones. gross) but I guess it's better than the alternative. Thanks for the info!

Yeah, I should have let you know before I came home. I wasn't free very much unfortunately, since I was in Fitchburg for a while and then Portland, but it still would have been great to see you.

Ah well. Next weekend! I can't wait.

I dunno I just started my new job so I don't know what my schedule is going to be like yet. Hopefully next month sometime. I'm also planning a trip to fitchburg to catch all the cool cats. So I dunno if you wanna get in on that.

I was able to back up my journal using a hilariously titled LJ client called LogJam. I believe this software is linux only (checks website). Yep, it's linux only.

However, I think better than doing the month by month export method, you could probably find a Windows LJ client that lets you "synchronize" your journal to an offline version. This will probably do the whole thing in one go, and then you should have the files stored locally on your computer.
