man, there's only four people that have live journals with the Mandarins listed as an interest-- and i think only you and i are the only ones that know that they're a drum and bugle corps.

they're pretty good.

indeed they are. =) I got to see them at quarters this year, and they were so awesome.

I find there aren't many drum corps people on here, and 90% of people who know what it is are all colour guard. Are you involved in it at all?

not YET; just a senior in my high school drumline.

but i'm planning on starting small, getting a feel for how these corps work--probably wtih Impulse in Buena Park. THEN i'll aspire to go onto bigger fish; Blue Devils, Santa Clara Vanguard. we'll see....

and OH MAN, "Loves Me... Loves Me Not..." was the best show this year!
i know "The Zone" was completely off the charts, and "Dance Derby of the Century" wasn't all too shabby either, but The Mandarins' show was just.... sweet.

I love Impulse's uniforms haha. I would /kill/ to be in scv...best cymbal line /evar/. ^_^

I really enjoyed "my kind of town", mostly because the Cavaliers are my favourite haha. Madison Scouts were good...but man their colour guard pissed me off haha.
