I'm not going because I don't want to take up room that his true friends and family need. I'm not going out of respect because I didn't know him. He was a high school principal, a coach, a middle school principal, a drivers ed instructor, not to mention a father, a husband, a friend, a mentor, etc. Everyone who was more affected by him deserves to be in that church more than me. Maybe other people refrained from going for selfish reasons, although I highly doubt it. As for me, I'm not selfish, I'd rather give my respects and allow the friends and family to grieve without me, an unknown face to Mr. Johnson, there.
