Oh, it was nice - nothing special. I didn't even go out. I had dinner with my parents at some of their friends' place. Then I went home, had a long and great and gedhgkw bath in the bathtub and then I wrote with Kasper over the phone from around 3 am to 7 am (as he hadn't bothered going out either). Nothing special, but it was nice nonetheless - a) he almost begged for sex :P, and b) in December I was quite... insecure about feelings and stuff. I thought too much. But after New Year's Eve I feel a lot more comfortable with it all :D
How was yours? Meh. Ate some food, tried to avoid getting fireworks in my face...tried to be pleasant for the family's sake. Played music for the cats so they wouldn't be scared to death by the noise. Then I got back inside and read my books. ;p In other words, same as any other bleedin' day except more lights.
Thanks! Same as always. Killing time by hanging out at Westeros & trying to memorise ASOIAF. Lost a few pounds. There was a snow storm here the other day, now it's all melted away. Life's pretty boring.
Glad your back.. Happy New Year and all that stuff... blah blah.. Dunno' about you but I have the feeling that squirrels and hedgehogs have got the right idea.. hibernation is definately the way to go.
...and polar bears, yeah. And bats, bats are cool - not only do they scare people to death, they sleep all through the winter as well. I'll be a bat next time.
Happy New Year to you, as well. Glad to hear you're doing okay.
Things here are pretty quiet (surprise, surprise). I've been trying (w. little success) to do some writing. Other than that, I'm doing a little prep for another job interview, but it's not for a month, so I'm not at the fingernail-biting stage yet.
Well, it's for an archivist position, which is the job I actually trained for when I went to grad school. Unlike my current job, which is related (kind of), and much less interesting. Also, I currently work for a huge corporation that has no interest in properly funding or aupporting the program I work for, so it's very difficult to get any proper work done: I spend way too much of my time running around putting out fires (so to speak) rather than getting any proper work done. And based on conversations I've had with some of the long-timers, it's been this way for twenty years. So, yah, it's time to move on.
