mapping in the curry

got another few minutes on the internet. so yeah- still mapping in the lovely mostly mining town of cloncurry aka "the curry"... in a matter of about 10 minutes i got whistled at twice just walking down the street. get the impression they're really bored here. guess there's a huge rugby game tonight that we'll all be listening to on the radio

btw the "half six" thing is british too. I wonder if we will be able to talk British Empire slang to each other next year. It would drive everyone crazy but we'd win the roommate game for sure!

yes... they were domestic and brought over... and now they're ranging free around the outback
