i really feel for you. i was exactly as you seem to be for a long time. it was a painful existence for me. i went through over 18 yrs with eating disorders and obsessions, etc. the best thing i did for myself was start therapy with someone who was well-versed in EDs. it has been really hard work, but for the first time in my life, i can actually have some peace from my thoughts and can feel somewhat normal. much love and luck!
sympathies, sweetie! it's never easy but the beginning is definitely the hardest part. think of it this way, tho, it's the period during which you'll really notice the progress you're making. i find affirmations work wonders - just look frankly at yourself in the mirror and focus on the beauty. tell yourself that you're beautiful and mean it. tell yourself that you're eating for health and wholeness. remind yourself daily that it's what you really want. if you find your thoughts are turning to food and your figure, try to distract them by thinking about something else entirely. it passes. also a few minutes a day spent meditating helps keep you calmer and more stable in the long run as well as being good for a quick fix. best of luck!
