Talk about a time where you overcame serious self-doubt

There's a soft almost dry chuckle coming from the back of Lee Adama's throat as he reads the question. He can name several times and he can tell almost every detail of how he overcame and triumphed. Lee suddenly finds his father's hand on his shoulder.

Don't be too hard on Kara, son. Her worries weren't about you; they were about her not being in control. I went through similar issues once.

As for me, I'd been tracking every mission you flew. I knew you had what was needed to take care of that refinery.

A wry grimace.

Of course, you damn near gave me a coronary when I realized how you planned to do it ...

Lee almost jumps at the feel of his father's hand on his shoulder but manages to keep himself still. He listens quietly as his father speaks and can't stop himself from breaking into a slight grin towards the end.

"I was told not to frak it up by overthinking so I didn't. It was there and ...I went for it."

Lee shrugs his shoulders before glancing over at his father.

"I had quite the internal monologue let me tell you."

Lee's last comment draws a soft chuckle from his father.

"I know. We heard some of it over your comm."

His smile widens slightly.

"Kara couldn't have done better ... and neither could I."
