Michael looked around, helping Kat off the Hogwart's Express. His mother should be arriving soon.

Sure enough, she was there. Mrs. Margaret Corner greeted the girl her son had wrote to her about only two days before with a warm hug and a smile.

"It's nice to meet you, dear." she said, giving Michael a pleased look.

"It's great to meet you too, Mrs. Corner," Kat said with a smile. "Thank you so much for allowing me to come."

She had spent nearly the whole train ride wondering what Michael's parents would be like, and whether their reaction to her would be friendly or...well, not. This was practically better than what she had hoped for.

Michael's face turned bright red as his mother licked her hand and tried to flatten a piece of hair that had strayed from the rest.

"Mum," he laughed embarrassedly, pushing her hand away. His mtoher only rolled her eyes.

"These boys... they get so touchy about everything when they get older." she laughed to Kat. "Now you two follow me. There's a car waiting outside that will take us home."

Michael took Kat's hand with a smile, the two of them following after his mother through the barrier.

Kat stiffled a laugh at the look on Michael's face, nodding in agreement to his mother.

She smiled teasingly at Michael as they walked through the barrier and out onto the muggle side of the platform.

After half a half an hour drive to Michael's house, he opened the door to the car and waited for her to exit.

Michael's house was good-sized, a typical white house with blue shutters. His sisters were looking through the curtains in the living room, and had made their way outside amidst squeals and giggles within seconds of their arrival.

"Oh, great." Michael frowned and sighed.
