HBP predictions and such

You all know about the HPB prediction contest thing that's been going on in HPFGU? I've given it some thoughts but for most of the questions I really have no solid idea (some of them I don't care enough to even form an opinion on). So instead of trying to come up with predictions I'm actually just gonna talk about it a bit:

Ugh, I have to make one of these posts before HBP too, but I just keep post-phoning it. I agree with you that I don't think Dumbledore will die in this book, if only because he's been in everyone of them so far, so it would break the set structure if he does.

Yes! Someone agrees with me! I am not *completely* crazy :P! Yeah I think I'll refine my answers somewhat and submit them to HPFGU, for a remote chance to be called The Greatest something or other X-D

Yep, she did. She said something along the lines: "He'll be busy, but what's life without little romance?"

I completely agree about Dumbledore and Hagrid. Dumbledore will die at the end of book 7, IMO, and Hagrid will annoy us until the very end. I don't have a reasonable explanation for it, but I just feel that Hagrid is the very last character JKR would kill off.

I am sorry, am a bad fan- how come I don't remember Fudge getting sacked in OOTP or Rowling saying there would be a new MOM?

Fudge wasn't sacked in OotP, but JKR said there will be a new MfM in HBP nonetheless - probably, Fudge will get sacked at the beginning of book 6. Anyway, JKR was clear that there will be a new Minister for Magic.

Okay... I'll go with Parvati then. Mostly because I don't give a damn whoever he'll be with- unless if it's gonna be a male or non-human, which'll at least be interesting.

I'll go with Amelia Bones like the rest of the fandom then... It's time for a female MOM, and of course she'd have to be a Dumbledore supporter *eyeroll*

deaths: i wish to see hagrid or percy die soon but that's not gonna happen, and maybe dumbledore to go in mid book 7...

hbp: i've given up on guessing this one long time *sigh* in the beginning i was hoping snape will be the one, just because. lol

lily's secret: i think it's not as big an issue as we might imagine... somehow i think we're gonna be kinda disappointed when we find out, it might be something quite 'ordinary' or even 'lame'...

and i totally would love to see your predictions #3 & 4 to come true, and i think #1 is a cute idea ^^

Yeah I fear Lily's big secret would turn out to be another "big suprise" like the prophecy in OOTP, which shocked everyone with its utter predictableness ^^;;;

Better she doomed than I having to endure H/G, H/Hr or other equally horrid stuffs! I suppose H/L will be alright, but somehow I just don't see it- Luna 's late debut being the main reason.

Yeah, I suppose. I don't like H/L because it would be a bit 'Here's this new character to be Harry's girlfriend' (like Ginny! ;) - what's her actual role? Plus, Luna is so dispassionate, I can't really see her with anyone...
I hate all Harry het ships. I don't want anyone decent with him because he's such a little bitch (dunno what that says about the H/D shipping! ;) but anyone annoying with him will just double my irritation.

I'm agree with you about Dumbledore. Maybe I'm only reacting to all that big bunch of people who has caved his grave, but really, I think it would be more impactanting if he dies at the final battle, if he dies at all. Maybe it's because, while I can picture him dying at the end of six book, I can't imagine WW and Hogwarts without him all the seventh book long.

About Hagrid, nah, not impacting anymore. I fear you are not going to like it, but I killed draco off. Unbalancing Harry is the goal, isn't it?

about your prediction, I quite like your number 1. Hell, I predicted a nice flashback to Hogwars' founders time, so we could learn something more about Salazar and Godric's dynamics. ahh... to dream is free...

Yes. I do remember you dooming my dear ferret boy, but it's more that I just don't see it than I don't like it :) The sort of impact you're looking for (someone Harry has always hated dies, and he's shocked by the tragedy of it rather than feels happy about it), I think would be more effectively created by Snape. And I'd *hate* for it to happen, so I'm not predicting it!

I'm pretty sure there'll be some founder flashbacks in HBP, let's see if my pet theory since COS would turn out anywhere near the truth! *rubs palms together excitedly*
