Ginny, and a little thoughts on book 7

So now Ginny= pretty much the pre-HBP Draco with female bits and without reasonable justifications for her biotchiness has become sort of a popular view. Well, I feel somewhat smug for having pointed that out in adela711's lj before I even finished the book ;-) Unlike the rest of the not!Ginny-fan!fandom though, I am not harboring a deep loathing for Ginny

(The arrogrance behind such thinking is simply disgusting, and more than a little disturbing.) And yet...this is encouraged by the author's voice in the book as well as her interviews. Hermione chooses Gryffindor because she heard it was the "best" house. (I wonder if someone can be in a house and not embody it's attributes....or is it a matter of say I want to be loyal so I will strive to be that way

Yeah it's a bit hard to miss Rowling's propaganda about Gryffindor courage :-D Well to each their own!

I was under the impression that the four founders were equals who worked together to build the school...but it doesn't come across that way.

True! I think it's largely due to Dumbledore, a Gryffindor principle upholding Gryffindor values ;-) Makes me wonder what were the days like under Phineas Nigellus's reign, oh yeah he was the least popular Hogwarts principle wasn't he, I wonder why /sarcasm>
The founder women? I am willing to bet a lot on one of them being just like Hermione, and the other just like Ginny/Lily, you know the bestest wise and wild women archetype in HPverse X-D!!!

I'm wondering if the breach of Hogwarts by the deatheaters will force the houses together.

Oh! Yeah... I think that'll be told from a non-Harry POV, or someone will just tell Harry what happened after the DE incident! Since Harry won't be in Hogwarts much if at all. Gosh at least I hope so, am so not interested in a Hogwarts w/o Snape and Draco!!!

God you sound like such a bitter fan. But we clearly disagree because you think Draco was developed well and had reasons for being an ass and that Ginny was just nasty while I ... don't.

Sorry I pretty much meant to say I think if anyone is the delusional person here it's YOU and not JKR. Draco is the most one dimensional, static character in the books next to Luna and fine, you see some "growth" for him but he's really quite an ass and yet you clearly ignore all of Ginny's good sides and just say she's awful all the time. Reading comprehension fail much ? Though IMO, just because you reading off Ginny and Draco are different doesn't make anyone delusional but since you said it first ....
