Been re-reading Pride and Prejudice. Since the last time I read it was years before my Slash Boom, I hadn't realized at that time what a cute couple Darcy would've made with Bingley :-P Saw Brokeback mountain awhile ago... I had a lot to say about it after I came out of the theater, but am not in the mood to talk seriously at the moment (my serious ( Read more... )

[x] I've gone on a blind date. (Don't ask.)

Heh, that bad? Just reconfirms my stance on blind dating. Or really, dating.

[ ] I've had braces. (I totally should have, though. But my mum had an unreasonable fear of dentists when I was young enough to wear braces w/o looking silly.)

You too? Except in my case, it was the dentist declaring that my overbite would give me 'character'. I have PLENTY of character, and I don't think straight teeth would have hurt it.

[ ] I've hugged a stranger. (I've narrowly escaped being hugged by a stranger multiple times.)
[ ] I have kissed a stranger (Ditto the above. Sexual predators are everywhere!)

This shouldn't make me laugh, but...ha! Now I'm just picturing you walking twitchily in the street, giving 'don't mess with me!' looks to random people.

[x] Someone close to me has attempted suicide. (Frigging woke me up in the middle of the night for allegedly taking 10 sleeping pills, by the time I got to her place she looked completely fine, I wondered if she actually meant 10 bites of one pill.) ( ... )

WTF? I've heard really absurd reasons dentists give to get their patients do braces, but to tell patients not to do braces because overbite=character???

Now I'm just picturing you walking twitchily in the street, giving 'don't mess with me!' looks to random people.

To be fair, most of the said offenses took place in a *pub*. But I swear I wasn't sending out the "molest me!" vibe- don't people go to pubs just to dance anymore???

maybe my 'Next time, try the whole box' reply wasn't the most sensitive thing to say.

LOL! Well, I didn't suggest her to swallow the whole bottle next time in case she thought I meant it- PR has never been a strength of mine!

[x] I've driven over 200 miles in one day. (The longest I've driven so far in one day was about 130 miles.)

O.o You mean 230, right?

[x] I've ridden in a taxi. (I am beginning to wonder if the creator of this meme lives in LA...)

Why? Aren't there taxis in LA?

[ ] I've hugged a stranger. (I've narrowly escaped being hugged by a stranger multiple times.)

Hee! That sounds like it could be me! :D

O.o You mean 230, right?

My mistake! It was 130 miles one way!

Why? Aren't there taxis in LA?

Very very few. Everyone drives in LA!

Hee! That sounds like it could be me! :D

You mean you go around hugging people??? I wouldn't mind if you hug me for no apparent reasons though :-D

Haha, no I meant you'r description of how you go to great lengths to avoid being hugged. :D I actually generally like hugs, as long as they're not of the sleazy kind, but I instinctively tend to pull away from any kind of physical contact, or closing of distance. I don't know why, but I just have to steele myself NOT to do it. Even though I generally like it. Don't know if that even makes sense. *hugs you for no apparent reason*
