I spent a few years growing up in Hong Kong, and I always tell everyone that at that time it was the best and worst of capitalism all in one city. A few years after I moved back to the states a friend introduced me to CP's work and her ability to describe that unfathomable gap between the rich and the poor. Hong Kong, Rio, and now more and more the US of A, it's a sad state of affairs.
And no, I DO NOT speak or read Portuguese (I'm not even sure how to spell it)
No no I wish, I was reading the little I could find translated. A friend was gushing about her so I went on a search. I really did like her work though I wish I could findd more...
