I feel like I'm sinking right now. College is on everyones mind right now, and for me, I have no direction in what life is going to do with my poor mind after this summer. It basically comes down to two choices:

Moorpark: be close to home; my friends, my family, my girlfriend, for a little bit until I get my associates and get out of there. My ( Read more... )

joshie...
if i were you.. id go to santa monica. ive been out of high school really for about 2 years.. i spent my senior year at moorpark.. and honestly i feel like im suffocating. i cant stand it in simi. i think youre amazingly talented at everything you do so i wouldnt hesitate to get your life started. i mean, its not like youre going to be moving to new york or anything. santa monica is only a 40 min drive. i think it would give you a lot of experience. i know if i had a chance to move out of simi, i would take it in a heart beat!
and think of it this way..
you and lauren would be able to have slumber parties if you move out....
good luck josh.
i know that whatever you decide to do youll be extremely successful at it.. im not worried about you at all <3

I recommend going to Moorpark. Not because of the reasons you listed though. Simply because of the fact that you're young. I went to a University straight out of high school and wasted a year and $5K on nothing. I dropped out for almost 4 years and I'm finally going back (with a totally different major). I also had a friend that went to Occidental for 2 years. After 2 years she realized she didn't like the education there. She started over at Pierce in a different major as well. She wasted two years and about $20K.

People change a lot between the ages of 18 and 21. I wouldn't rush into anything unless you are fully comfortable with it.

btw, it's Paul. Add me back...hah.
