So I've worked at Cascade Bay, a local water park, for about three summers now.

After my second summer they asked me to apply as a 'Shift Leader', a jump in pay, responsibility, and hours.  Usually you have to be a fourth year to be one, so that was pretty sweet.

Tell them what you said here with G-Rated language. Tell them you feel underappreciated and underpaid and that offering you a crew member position is just an insult to you after the devotion and commitment you've showed to them in past summer when other, more paid members showed up late and didn't fulfill their duties.

And then see what they say.

Yea, I was planning on it. Not as a way to get the job, because they already decided that, but just so I know what I did wrong, if anything. It's probably more of an issue of seniority than anything else.

It just kind of feels like I was fired rather than turned down, because I'm never going to work there again.
