Salene and Brady: Wake Up Ryan

Oct 09, 2004 21:11

Salene carried Brady from the clothes closet back to the room she shared with Ryan. She faltered in the doorway, she didn't want to wake him, but she really needed him right now. Besides, he'd been sleeping long enough, and there was a crisis in the Mall. Salene walked over to the sitting area of their bedroom, placing Brady down on the couch, "You ( Read more... )

Brady giggled as Cloe tickled her, confusion settling in as she was quickly passed back and forth and then Salene took her away from Cloe and Patsy. "But I was gonna play with them Saleeeeeene!" she protested, pouting a little as they reentered the Mall. The room Salene took her into was dim, and then she was being sat on a couch and told to play with the skunk. She didn't want to play with that ratty old thing, that was Mouse's toy, not Brady's! She wanted her baby doll, or Lily, or her Bear even, and she only tossed the skunk to the side. She listened to Salene try to wake up Ryan, if there was anything Brady was good at, it was waking people up.

Brady wiggled down off of the couch and peeked around the couch before running over and tugging on Salene's pant leg, "Lemme try! Auntie Sal, lemme try, I'll wake him up!" Brady couldn't reach the bed, it was very high, and she was very short, if only Salene would put her in the bed, she could wake him up!

Salene sighed as she missed Brady leaving the couch, showing up at her side and tugging on her pants leg. She was flustered, she wanted to wake up Ryan and explain what was going on, but she couldn't do that with Brady there. She didn't want her to get upset, though, and she was so insistent on helping wake up Ryan that Salene couldn't argue. She picked her up and put her in the bed, "Alright, alright, be gentle with him," she instructed quietly, knowing full and well how Brady could climb into this bed and wake people up, she'd done it plenty of times to Salene, poking her in the eyes and insisting that it was awake time and she play with her. Salene sat down on the edge of the bed, she couldn't do this very long, if Ryan wouldn't wake up, well she'd be worried about him first of all, but she'd have to leave it, at least long enough to go get Patch and get back to the Cafe.

Brady bounced onto the bed as Salene picked her up and set her down, crawling around Ryan to his other side, putting her little hands on his back and rocking him, "Wake up Unca Ryan," she insisted, pushing him a little bit. She laid down next to him and looked at his sleepy face, "It's awake time, are you awake?" Brady reached out with her little finger, her gaze moving to Salene and the look on her face, opting not to pry Ryan's eyes open, though that was the easiest way she knew how to get people awake. Brady got up again and instead crawled onto Ryan, laying down on his back and putting her little head on his shoulder, "It's awake time now, you be awake," she told him plainly, not even bothering to whisper anymore. She lifted her head and looked at Salene, "It's not working," she informed her, laying her head back down and poking a finger into his side, "wakey," she finished, wiggling her finger in a tickle.

[OOC:Ryan is currently being temped by Salene for storyline sake until his gamer can properly take over.]

Ryan had been awake for some time, laying there trying to get the headache to subside. Salene and Mouse had taken a nap with him earlier, and he'd succumbed to the sleep again, resting with them, but when he'd woken again, they were gone. Now he was awake, he'd been awake for a while, and Brady and Salene were crawling on him, insisting that he wake up. He'd been ignoring it, until she was on his back, little Brady fingers in his side, little whispers of "wakey wakey" in his ear. Groaning, he rolled over, letting Brady slide off onto the bed. Perhaps his headache was better, and he slowly slid an eye open, looking at Salene sitting there next to him. What had she said when she'd first come in? He hadn't heard her, she'd been whispering and the pounding in his ears and nauseated feeling had overridden it all. "What's wrong?" he croaked out, rubbing his right eye with a fisted hand.
