Check out Charlotte Outdoor Adventures, it's a group that gets together for outdoor activities in the area. A friend & I had considered joining a while back.

There are a few things to do that are outdoorsy in the area, but you have to look really hard. I haven't done much in years along those lines, because hanging out with goths & trying to get them to do stuff that involves sunlight is not easy. Even if you offer to buy them an endless supply of SPF 1,000. We *almost* managed to pull off a camping trip once, but didn't happen ( ... )

Answer me a question about airplane air. Is it 100% recycled, or is there a compressor someplace that mixes the cabin air with fresh outside air?

I went to see Hitchhiker's guide this week. It was good and funny but I felt something was missing. I have read the books and have the BBC series on DVD. It only seemed a half step more than the series. I guess I was just expecting more.

Do you mean there is stuff to do outside??? Wow, what it must be like? : P

That sucks you got the blue juice on you. That is my biggest fear when working the lav system. Did they send you to the hospital to have some tests done and to get the required shots? Thats usually the proceedure if you get blue juice in your eyes or mouth.
Mesa has some pretty worn out lav carts here in PHX(probably the same in charlotte). The one at the hanger will leak quite a bit even if you open the valve slowly, and it always seems like the adapter is doing to fall off mid service. I usually try to avoid that area as much as possible. We just don't get paid enough to do haz mat shit.

P.S. That was a very good explaination of the cabin pressurization system.

I would have given anything to have been in the plane next to you!!!
That totally sucks though.
We must,
We must,
We must plan a trip this early summer while the weather is so wonderful and cheery!
We could meet up about mid way, I know a few spots, here there and yonder :-)
So, don't pack up the outdoor gear just yet!
