Everyone said this movie was so funny and so good. So I decided I needed to see it. I tried once Saturday night and it was sold out - about 3 weeks after opening!? Geez. But I did get to see it earlier this week anyways. And really - I just didn't think it was that funny. I mean, it was funny but not any more so than most comedies. I wouldn'

it had all the needed elements of humor though

1. fat guy (no explanation needed)
2. fat guy with attractive girl (never tiresome comedy staple)
3. pregnancy (what isn't funny about bringing kids into a doomed relationship?)
4. canadians (everyone's favorite scapegoat to the north)

and finally porn watching loser friends; i didn't include this in the "official" list because i have never seen this comedy tool anywhere and think it was invented by the writers of knocked up but i hope we see A LOT MORE of this type of character in the future

hehe yes. porn watching loser friends - original. and those other elements are really funny - don't know why the movie didn't deliver.
