The evening went well. I'm seriously starting to count down the days until I am on my way back to London. Being on the road, no matter how many people you have around you, can still be a very lonely place ( Read more... )

It's true that spouses do have to compromise (one hopes that husbands and wives do it equally). A lover might be a very good idea, if that's emotionally feasible for you. What feels wrong to you about it? (not that you have to tell *me* the answer, tho I'd be curious. but I think it's a question to think about)

I think it has a lot to do with when I was married, it wasn't exactly all that I had hoped for. I was just 24, and adored Andrew. It was when I started to become his prodigy, that I started to think is this a marriage of love or one of business. Granted it was all a happy time, but one of struggle. I ended up compromising my name to become The Phantom's darling Christine. There's still a bit of resentment towards the role, but it's a bittersweet time I guess.

As for what seems wrong to me, I think it was how I was raised. It just seems wrong, but when you're on the road touring, time will eat at you and make you think of completely odd things.

I agree with Mr. Rhys-Davies about the possibility of a lover. After all, it's not like you're a very young girl with no experience, and you already know what marriage is like. And you could call him your paramour and he could feed you grapes and massage your feet... oops, I think reading descriptions of the wedding of Christian Slater & Samantha Mathis is starting to get to me ;)
