Unfortunately, you have to go back and edit every last entry to "friends" to make the entire journal friends only.

OR you can post your "friends only" banner, and specify that it's something that takes effect from here on out. Then just make all your future entries friends only, and when you have the time to go back and change your older ones, you can do that too.

yeah posting the banner is what I did. But you don't need a banner just post that it is friends only for the most part from now on. That way you can make them public whenever.
