The Eye (Chinese) - THUMBS DOWN. Was a Chinese horror movie but it felt a lot more like a Japanese horror to me. That is to say, it had good potential through the first half and then ended horribly. Not a huge let down, there were certain parts that got me scared and I will watch the sequel but overall, thumbs down.

don't think i saw that one, but if it's a hong kong film... i'm guessing it starts off creepy, then ends up another sappy love story? :X

The only romance that was involved was kinda random. Suddenly the main characters doctor is like "yeah, she is more than a patient to me" acting like they have some relationship that is never brought to the screen.

It really was more like a Japanese film, like "go help the suffering soul of this ghost woman and I'll be cured, OH SHIT THAT DIDN'T WORK film end."

there's only one film out of HK that truly creeps me out, even to this day. my parents for some reason had me watch it with them when i was a wee toddler, and those images just stuck in my mind hardcore. they rented it again when i was in middle school, during teh summer time..couldn't sleep for weeks D:

Have you checked out Symphathy for Lady Vengence and Old Boy? Those 2 are some good (and seriously messed up, hardcore-style) korean movies~

I totally agree, I liked the beginning but once it got to the part she was playing a violin on screen for like 30 minutes, the movie went bad ;(

saw that movie at some asian horror film festival a couple years ago
the old woman at the hospital freaked me out bigtime, but yeah, the ending wasnt all that great
