Hello. i wrote a report about self-injury for my pyschology class, it wasnt a huge report just a research project. but my teacher really liked it and wants me to present it to the class. i was thinking about putting some quotes in it. I was wondering if anyone wanted to say a few words to my very ignorant class about this subject. The only time ( Read more... )

ok heres a few for ya.
no one really hurts themselve just for fun. its usually so they can feel the pain and actaully know that they do feel something besides anger.
no one can introduce self-injury to you if you dont want them to. and no one can tell you when to stop either. its all up to you.
no matter what anyone says, trying to stop is not easy. you think about it constantly and it never seems to stray far from your thoughts.
once anyone starts cutting themselve or doing any kind of self-injury, its hard to stop for even a spilt second. you just want to keep doing it.

are those enough? ill tell u more if u want.

Hey Aimes,
Either go to my memories [I wonder if I saved my LA cutting paper there...]
or go to my archive and look up the subjects "LA paper"

Good luck!

hmmm, lets see:
self mutilation isnt just cutting. u can bang your head on a wall, burn yourself, rub your skin raw, or anything eles that can cause pain. ive done all of the listed. but nothing is enough, you experiment until you find the perfect kind of pain. for me that was cutting. people cut anywhere. people that cut are usually untruthfull about cutting. i often lie and claim i have not cut myself, when i have only a few days before. the more you cut the more violent it gets. you cut with bigger and sharper objects. you cut deeper and longer.
feeling the pain on the outside has an effect on the pain on the inside. it helps it go away; it may just be a distraction, but if so, its an easy tangent. there is something about blood that makes it better. the more blood, it seems the better you feel.

hope that helped. :)
