It depends how perceptive and how good at socio/philosophical analysis you are. It gets to a point where you can build up profiles that are fairly good at predicting the majoirty of human behaviour once you know a little bit about the person. It's not so much a box, but a pattern or a collection of patterns you've identified. As such, a lot of people rarely surprise me, and the ones that do are generally the ones I like or dislike the most.
yeah, I agree in that you can form an idea or a set of ideas (or patterns) about a person, and you do know them and can predict them to a certain extent. I guess the thing is that even though you think you know someone, and you do know them so well, they'll always keep coming out with things where you go - "Oh, I didn't give them enough credit - I honestly thought they'd react differently" or something like that.
Well, I mean I can talk to most people for half an hour and be able to detect patterns of behaviour that fit existing profiles which I can use to predict things they will do, think or say. Most people can be slotted into boxes for at least large sections of their personality. The ones I can't do this with as much tend to be the most interesting.
Yeah, my little box that says "sweet but completely nutty" which I keep you in is now not the right shape for you - what's with the thoughtful commentary?
