This weekend my family and I celebrated my gramma's 80th birthday in Vermont. My mom and George and I left early Sunday morning, stopped in Brattleboro on the way. Picked up a pair of camo shorts in the army navy store and some hemp at Beadnicks. I had the best iced green tea I have ever had in an adorable tea house. We got to Woodstock around 4, and George and I walked to an antique/rare bookstore next to the Inn. I found an original copy of a Salvador Dali book, but it was far too expensive. Also found some Noam Chomsky, but didn't buy anything. My grandparents and the rest of the family met us at the Inn shortly after. I had my own room to stay in, and the view off the porch of my room was beautiful;

We all went out to dinner at some ritzy restaurant. There was absolutely nothing vegetarian on the menu, other than the salads. I guess I didn't really like it there. But I haven't seen my gramma that happy in a while. The view from the porch of the restaurant;

Today we went to breakfast in Woodstock center, and drove further in to Vermont to see the property my aunt and uncle bought last year. I guess they're going to build a house for themselves in 5 years, after they both retire. There are three cows that graze on their property, and I made friends with them;
Violet & her baby And some goats;
This was the first time I've spent any amount of time with my family in over a year. Maybe I should do that more often.
